DataStage Error: DSR.ADMIN Failed to write to project file.

Problem
Unable to delete a parameter from DataStage Administrator receive the error: DSR.ADMIN Failed to write to project file.

Receive the error DSR.ADMIN Failed to write to project file. trying to delete parameter from DataStage Administrator.

Solution

Ownership and/or permissions of the DSParams file in the DataStage project directory is not open to the user attempting to delete the parameter.

  

The ownership or permissions must be modified so the group has write permissions to the DSParams file. By default the DSParams file is located in:

· On Unix/Linux: /opt/IBM/InformationServer/Server/Projects/<project name>

· On Windows: c:\IBM\InformationServer\Server\Projects\<project name>

Note: Your project may be in a different location. You can see the project path when you select the project on the Projects tab in DataStage Administrator.
