Surrogate Key Generator - Create State File
Surrogate keys are numeric keys that can replace business keys in the datawarehouse. A surrogate key has the following characteristics:
1) It is typically an integer.
2) Surrogate keys are unique.
3) Surrogate keys allow you to combine data from tables with incompatible keys.
4) It has no meaning. You will not be able to know the meaning of that row of data based on the surrogate key value.
5) It is not visible to end users. End users should not see a surrogate key in a report.
I will not go in details of surrogate key, I will post it later, But we will see how to generate surrogate keys in DataStage.

How to Create Custom Stages in Datastage Parallel Jobs ?
In addition to the wide range of parallel stage types available, the Designer allows you to define your own stage types, which you can then use in parallel jobs.
For creating custom stage in datastage which will functions as per our requirement and we will be able to modify that stage as we may want. Here is some information on custom stage functionality in datastage in parallel jobs and how can we create our own wrapped custom stage.

Converting .rpm Packages To Debian/Ubuntu .deb Format With Alien
This article shows how you can convert .rpm packages to
.deb packages with a tool called alien so that you
can easily install them on Debian and Ubuntu systems. Sometimes this is quite
convenient as not all software projects release their software as Debian/Ubuntu
packages.
However, you should keep in mind what the alien man page
says:

When datastage file system becomes full, RT_LOGxxx files can become corrupted. Here is a manual procedure to recreate them
When many datastage jobs are running for long time, the RT_LOGxxx files can become very big. If the log files are not regularly purged, in some cases, a file system full on the datastage file system can occur. If the corruption of datastage system files is restricted to the RT_LOGxxx files, a procedure to delete and recreate the RT_LOGxxx files can be attempted in order to recover from the corruption.

Teradata Users
In Teradata, a user is the same as a
database with one exception. A user is able to logon to the system and a
database cannot. Therefore, to authenticate the user, a password must be
established. The password is normally established at the same time that the
CREATE USER statement is executed.
The password can also be changed using a
MODIFY USER command.

Start/Stop/Delete a Queue Manager
Starting a Queue
Manager
Before we can use a Queue Manager,
we need to start it, using the STRMQM command. The command to start a
Queue Manager called QMA is:
$ strmqm QMA
You should see output similar to the
following on your screen:
WebSphere MQ queue manager 'QMA'
starting.
2108 log records accessed on queue
manager 'QMA' during the log replay phase.
Log replay for queue manager 'QMA'
complete.
Transaction manager state recovered
for queue manager 'QMA'.
WebSphere MQ queue manager 'QMA'
started.

Create/start/stop a Queue Manager
To
create a Queue Manager, our userID needs to be part of the mqm group. If we do
not have the appropriate authority, then we need to ask our MQ administrator to
issue this command.
The
command to create a Queue Manager is CRTMQM and there are various
parameters available with this command:
crtmqm [-z] [-q] [-c Text] [-d DefXmitQ] [-h MaxHandles]
[-g ApplicationGroup] [-t
TrigInt]
[-u DeadQ] [-x MaxUMsgs] [-lp
LogPri] [-ls LogSec]
[-lc | -ll] [-lf LogFileSize]
[-ld LogPath] QMgrName
